Editorial policy
Rising Weekly Dispatch aims to be accurate, fair-minded and clear about what it can and cannot establish. We write about countryside change with care for local differences and for the distinction between a visible detail, an interpretation and a verified fact.
Accuracy and context
We check factual statements against suitable material available to us and take care with names, dates, definitions and descriptions of place. We seek context before drawing a broader conclusion from a single example. If evidence is incomplete or a point remains uncertain, we say so rather than make the account sound more settled than it is.
Independence and interests
Editorial decisions are made for their relevance to readers and fit with our subject. A commercial relationship does not guarantee coverage or a favourable view. We consider whether an interest could reasonably affect a piece and explain relevant relationships when that context is needed.
Corrections
Readers can report a possible error through the Contact page. We review specific, useful correction requests and amend material when warranted. Where a correction changes the substance of a published piece, we make the change clear to readers rather than quietly leaving a misleading account in place.
Partner material and illustrations
Material created as part of a paid or other partner arrangement is labelled so readers can distinguish it from independent editorial work. Partner placements are identified as such and do not determine the wording of unrelated articles. Some illustrations may be generated with AI; when an illustration is AI-generated, we label it accordingly.
